On-Site Gatherings

We gather at Gateway Foursquare Church in South Salem. Find out more by reading our FAQs here, or ask your own question! Keep this page bookmarked as we update it frequently. See the button below for upcoming gathering date and details!

Other gatherings occur in-person in our homes. We call them Connect Groups. They are a more intimate, small group setting. We discuss life, the weekend’s message, and eat, drink and pray. Contact us if you’re interested or have questions.

Questions?

What can we expect?

This Fall we gathered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Here’s what happened:

·3-4 songs
·Communion (optional)
·A short talk/update
·A simple prayer
·Eat together (optional)

We have one BIG event on December 19th (Christmas Together) and then rest as staff and volunteers from December 20-January 2.

Where shall I park?

Park in the back. We’ll call it the North Parking Lot. Follow the Crosscreek sign to our designated entry.

Do I need to believe in Jesus to attend?

Nope. We created this church in 2017 to be a place where faith in Jesus can be explored and isn’t assumed or expected. We welcome your questions, your doubts, and the process of faith. You don’t have to believe to belong. And we won’t make any assumptions.

We also are a church, so we will do things differently than other organizations. But we promise to explain briefly what’s happening and invite you to join in. You can also sit back and just check things out. You’re safe here.

When does the teaching/bible study happen?

We will continue to put out our online content via YouTube and the podcast every Saturday. Small groups meet to discuss the online message topics and passages for the week. Our on-site gatherings will focus on the relational side of our faith and following Jesus: singing together, eating together, and celebrating communion together.

Are kids classrooms available?

For now, we will offer kids’ environments for Nursery and Pre/Kinder to third grade. Background checked volunteers will watch your little ones until it’s time for the potluck.

Kids grades 4 and up will find our gathering time accessible. We will sing a few songs, optional and explained communion, and hear a quick update from Jon or a community leader. Coloring activities will be at the tables. Let us know if you have questions.

Will facial coverings be required?

Under the current guidelines for our county and state, masks are required in the building. Our guideline for kids will be the same as they are for our local schools. Email us if you have questions.

I like to serve. Can I help?

Oh, we’re so glad you asked! The following areas are great places for contributors to jump in. If any stick out to you, let us know:
– Tech/Sound
– Kids
– Greeting/Hospitality
– Security
– Clean Up

Crosscreek is a church community that I am excited to invite my friends to—even friends who have been hurt by church in the past, even friends who have vowed never to set foot in a church building again. I can trust—from experience—that they will be treated with kindness and with love, that they will be welcomed and encouraged, and that they will encounter Christians whose lives have been transformed by Jesus, and who are excited to see Jesus transform the lives of others as well.

If you are looking for a church where you do not have to hide who you are or pretend to be something you are not to fit in,

...or If you are looking for a church where you can truly love God with all of your mind as well as all of your heart and all of your strength,

...or If you are looking for a church where you can practice loving your neighbor as yourself,

...or If you are looking for a church that—as far as I can see—is always striving to do better at following Jesus and building authentic, loving, Christ-like community.

If you are looking for any of these, then I would invite you to Crosscreek too.
