It’s normal to feel helpless…

But you don’t have to stay there!  Here’s a list of some ideas that could help you lovingly act to help your community right now:

  • Pray!  Pray for the emergency response teams, safety for evacuees and their animals, the volunteers at the fairgrounds and other locations accepting the displaced, and for the communities affected. You can stay up-to-date here.
  • Give!  Donate money to the American Red Cross, or drop off much-needed items at locations in the valley. Here are some Salem-specific links: United WaySalem Chamber of Commerce.
  • Live!  Be FOR your neighbor; check in on them and ask them what they need. Share encouraging and helpful [accurate] social media posts online; send texts that are encouraging and ask how you can pray or what you can do.
