It is possible to really see concrete proof that God sees you, knows you, cares for you, and is intimately involved in your life. This kind of life… this kind of faith and trust comes from practicing the Art of Following Jesus… And Jesus said there was one practice that grows our faith like nothing else.
What if life is meant for more than working for more money in order to accumulate more stuff? Maybe life becomes more when we give more of it away.
When the world is falling apart the way we usually respond (complaining, blaming, fighting) usually only creates more problems. Maybe it’s time to try something else. Something that has been available to us all along. Something that isn’t simply “the least we can do,” but actually the most powerful force for good in the world. It also just happens to be the most reliable path to happiness.
We often pride ourselves on our self-reliance, but sometimes the “what if’s” start eroding the confidence and happiness we thought we had. What if I don’t have what it takes? What if I don’t know enough? What if…? There’s a better way. We can find a reliable happiness when we change who we are relying on.
