The holidays are supposed to be the “most wonderful time of the year.” But often they end up being the worst time of year. Do we have a choice? Is there a way to enjoy the holiday season no matter what is going on around us?
Main Ideas:
[00:44] The holidays are “supposed to be” the best time of the year but often they are just the worst.
[01:44] We can do better than just getting through the holidays.
[03:45] The key to a fulfilling holiday season is the key to a fulfilling life.
[04:47] Our pain can make us wonder if God is even listening.
[06:55] God is intimately aware of and invested in every thought and feeling we deal with.
[08:10] Jesus proves that God personally knows and cares about each person.
[10:34] Jesus is closer than our pain.
[14:03] Jesus kept his promise to rise from the dead. We can trust him to keep his other promises.
[18:00] When we trust Jesus is with us we can rest no matter what is against us.
