That spark of hope many of us feel at Christmas… isn’t just a warm feeling from too much eggnog, expert marketing, excitement for presents, or nostalgia of selective childhood memories. It is a glimpse of something real. it is a beacon to a real hope for our real lives right now. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from… You can experience this hope today.
Main Points:
[01:13] Christmas offers us a chance to hope again.
[02:25] Hope is confidently trusting that God keeps his promises.
[07:28] God promises everyone an individual and personal relationship of love.
[10:22] All of God’s promises are fulfilled in and through Jesus.
[12:22] Jesus’ resurrection proved he is more powerful than the worst the world has to offer.
[16:04] The Christmas story can be your story of hope.
[16:52] We can confidently hope again b/c xmas is proof that God keeps his promises.
Invitation to Pray: Thank you for keeping your promises. I choose to trust and hope in you. Teach me to love with your love.

- Over the course of our time spent together in Mary’s Song (Luke 1:45-55), what was the most memorable, challenging, or encouraging aspect?
- Jon said, “The Christmas story can be your story of hope.” What do you hope for this Christmas season? What would you consider to be a next right step as you put hope into action?
- Slowly reread Luke 1:54-55 and Luke 4:16-21. Sit for a few minutes with it. Write or share with someone, what pops off the page? What does that mean for you personally?
